After having two technicians come out to supposedly set up and fix my internet connection, I was left with internet service that continually cuts out. After deciding that I wanted to cancel, I followed their steps, did the online form, and then called to cancel.

After talking to a representative, decided to wait and discus options with my wife and call them back. The representative confirmed I had until the 4th to cancel my account so I waited. Well due to a death in the family we had to travel 1200 miles in a car to go to the funeral so we were not able to call until the 30th day of the cancellation deadline. "ON THE 30TH DAY!!!!" And when I called and explained everything to the "Customer service" they said "that's a technical issue and then cold transferred us to technical support.

So after being on hold for another 15 minutes waiting to get back to someone to cancel my account, I am told that the 30 days only means the 29 days, so on the 30th day it doesn't count and that in order to cancel my account I would have to pay the 200 dollar cancellation fee. This on top of them trying to charge me over 140 dollars for starting up with them when I was quoted less than 60 dollars. After telling that to a previous representative, they laughed and only offered to reduce it after I said to cancel my account. They then were willing to reduce it to try and keep me from cancelling my account.

I wasn't fishing for a cheaper price, I wanted them to review the call and charge me exactly what I was quoted. And on top of that, I have reviewed the "30 day cancellation" policy and talked to a local attorney. I have recorded the phone call where I was told that I couldn't cancel on the 30th day and the supposed "option" that they had for me. Well this is without a doubt the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with and I will be contacting a local attorney to discuss their "30 day cancellation" and having them listen to the recording of them playing me like a fiddle saying I couldn't cancel on the 30th day.

Due to me being in school for pharmacy, if this does turn into a lawsuit, I will being seeking reparations for my time, any effect on schooling, attorney fees, lost wages, emotional trauma, etc. Due to the nature of my schooling, certain classes are considered failed if you have less than 75%. If that happens you have to retake the entire year. Seeing as I am passing without a problem right now, if a lawsuit ensues and I have to retake the entire year as a result, that will add over 200 thousand for lost wages due taking an additional year to get into a career, and the additional cost of student loans/interest that I would be seeking reparations for.

So go ahead and keep trying to *** me around. Even if it doesn't end in a lawsuit, I am going to post this experience on every single social media site that I can. And seeing how I have the recorded phone call stating its only 29 days, its not defamation. actually as I sit here and type it occurs to me that stating no later than 30 days and changing that to 29 days might be considered fraud.

I'll have to ask when I meet with an attorney this week.

I will update as I get more info, so everyone that reads this knows what kind of mess their getting themselves into.
