- It took several years to get the bare copper wires buried
Preferred solution: Total obliteration of my Centurylink email!
User's recommendation: If you have any alternatives do everything you can to avoid doing business with Centurylink and Brightspeed! Check customer reviews etc.

2hours to try to get help. Hung up on twice. Operator said they would call back if disconnected they did not. Totally frustrated
To report the worse customer service in the world
Several weeks ago the water company while putting in pipes cut the century link cable. This was over the weekend and there is no CL emergency contact/service so the whole street had no connectivity including for some of us land lines.
Then it was reported by several of us but still there were delays in getting any help for everyone who was out of service. Finally CL put in external wiring/cable linkiing us all up to one or two pedestals, promising to come back and provide permanent fix. CL subcontracted to another company who has only information on one affected home rather than us all.
I have tried to get appointments at least four times. This is impossible.

To drop off the old equipment because it is replaced by quantum fiber

Horrible customer service
Was scammed into changing from Qwest.com to Hughes Net. Was lied to about service and cost etc.
According to three Century link techs my system did not need to be changed but CL insisted. Like a fool I gave in and then there has been trouble ever since. This has been going on since 10/2023. Still not totally resolved.
I cannot use the e-mail program as they lock you out for a period of time after you change your pass word. Had this "service" since 2000. I think I have proved my worthiness. Not finished with them yet.
I'm 80 years young and can still fight for what is right just like my 96 year young Aunt. Avoid at all costs.
Bad Billing Habits
I called in September to fix our service. They said it was fixed, never was.
My dad called and cancelled our service in October 2023.
He noticed in early January that they were still charging him so he called again with the case number from Oct.
they said theyd get it cancelled and have a superior call my dad that same day to back pay us the four months of no service in which it was supposed to be cancelled.
Never heard from them again until today when they called him and said he still owed them money for this month. They even threatened to send him to collections and this is a man who pays EVERYTHING on time ALWAYS.

No internet it's an emergency
