Signed up Jan 8th , told was getting a $200.00 card . Now its a $100.00 card and its May , their web site says to hasn't even been verified yet and another 6 to 8 weeks from when the mail date is . I will probably be long dead before I get anything from this from this company , Everything has been a lie or a disappointment , took 4 months to get my calling features on my phone . Internet has been a mess . Down to 5 mbs at times , no refund for trouble , foreign operators , whole company is bad for America

ummmmm.....i work for centurylink and i hate to tell you, but when you put your service on vacation, it pauses your contract, si in six months when you go to cancel, you will still have six months left on your contract. and thus you will still be subject to early termination fee.

Bad service!!! Since January got a bill of over $500. I did not bundle with direct tv but everytime I called they said I was.I agreed to the 29.95/month. My bill just keeps getting higher and higher and do not know what to do anymore.Its May now and still have not receive any help whats so ever. I have been a customer for over a year. I have never experienced such poor customer service from any company before in my life! Today I was on hold for over 40 minutes, transferred to wrong department 3 different times and never did get to talk to a support person. I am paying for 40 Mps internet but average 3 to 15 Mps it will barley run their own TV system. I canceled Netflix because you can't use it. No solutions offered, can't get anyone to even talk to me. Just transfer you somewhere else where no one cares. I am one pissed off customer!

Centurylink continues to charge astronomical fees for my unreliable DSL service and disconnects me routinely with little or no warning only to charge me a reconnection fee of 25.00 additional each time to reconnect. I call their customer service line and they pass me around to every dept but the correct one to resolve the issue while placing me on a 20 min hold for each transfer. My child relies on Internet for public school which has gone web based to turn in school assignments. We live in an area where unfortunately centurylink is our only option. The reps with customer service are in foreign countries and it is difficult to communicate issues with them without much frustration and then it's as if they purposely give you the run around. If I could charge them the same fees they charge for dealing with this ridiculous service they would go broke.

Horrible CenturyLink customer service

Went into the CenturyLink store thinking the service was going to be better than the horrible Century Link Call Center customer service, essentially run by dim-witted clowns, who hardly have an iota of professionalism in them! And boy was I surprised ... this store makes Comcast and Time Warner/AOL customer service look like saints (as much as I hate Comcast/TW AOL service). This store has very few staff, most of whom are away on breaks, instead of helping customers. They were gossiping between themselves and doing their jobs really slowly, instead of helping a bunch of waiting customers (who probably had other things to do, such as get back to work, etc.). After a long (I mean 1+ hour wait), I was "helped" by a lady who could not figure out how to fix the billing issue I was having (even though she acknowledged it was a mistake on the part of Century Link). She then was on call with their Customer Service hotline for another 30 minutes before she came back and said she could not help me fix it since she had not received the proper training for that and the person on the phone could not figure it out either. And that I would need to talk to someone in their 'Retention" department to get the billing credit back (I suppose they need to have a "Retention" department to counteract the lousy "regular" call center service department they have). All in all, they were not able to "retain" me, I switched to Comcast (another company I don't like either, but at least their customer service is better than CenturyLink). Comcast was able to give me a great rate and great service + a new connection, within 2 hours of talking to them. Since there is no option for 0-starts or negative-stars here, I suppose 1-star is the only consolation the dense, nincompoops at Century Link deserve ! Adios Retardos !!
