Centurylink had promised me a promo rate of $19.95 a month and never delivered. This has gone on from July 2014 till current Nov 2015. Then they bumped me to $40 a month with a $200 termination fee I never heard of or agreed to. Terrible service as well, buffers with Netflix after 5:00pm constantly. I have been on hold over 1 hr with loyalty department on the phone till I gave up several... Read more

When we signed up for service in June 2015, the sales person suggested we request a new modem since we preferred to purchase rather than lease. We returned used modem and are now using new modem. We were billed for leasing and now we are billed for returned modem. The billing cycle is inconsistent. Every month a different amount is deducted from my debit card; thus, overdrawing my account. ... Read more

If I could rate them lower I would. I've been corresponding with centurylink for several weeks now about some outrageous charges ($599.29 to be precise) for unreturned equipment, that I did in fact return. I have spent, literally, hours on the phone and online trying to fix their screw up. Now, after all of their non-existant help, I'm stuck with an overdrawn bank account, overdraft fees from the... Internet is slow just sucks!! CenturyLink has the worst Internet service!! Add comment

Bait and switch, price jacking, the works. This company is by far the worst company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I had services setup on September of 2014 pairing it up with Direct TV and was in shock initially with an insane $200 bill I had to deal with right off the back. My monthly rate they promised was supposed to be around $38 per month with the service and modem rental.... Read more

February 24, 2015 Re: Failure to respond, Failure to resolve Ms. Larson (CenturyLink VP in Colorado Springs), I sent an email to Cindy Girtman two weeks ago, on February 10 (see attached). It was a fairly extensive email and I put a good deal of work into it. Despite Ms. Girtman’s prior advisement of “Please refer to me as your point of contact for any future CenturyLink correspondence. This will... Read more

My original modem, which was working perfectly for several years, crashed on January 15. I called CL the following morning (Friday) and they confirmed it was my modem, saying they would send out a replacement and I should receive it on Monday. I called Monday to confirm and was told by a tech that no modem was sent out but a filament. I WAS FURIOUS! The replacement modem was a different model. It... Read more

I pay for 40mb internet at my house. In the past 9 months I have averaged 7 days each month of internet outages and I have never come close to achieving even half the speed that I pay for. I have had technicians come to the house 5 times now and had my modem replaced 3 times. In spite of the fact that I am not getting what I pay for and definitely am not getting any type of reliable service, I... Read more

Today, Nov. 13, 2014, we had record low temperatures in Colorado Springs. While we were eating dinner at about 6:45 pm our doorbell rang. I was at the most 5.5 degrees outside and none of our lights were on outside. With that being said, it certainly was below zero with the windchill factor. Answering the door, I'm not going to let a solicitor in my house, but had the door open to find out... Read more

The way I see it, you have two choices. 1) Make your product free, and then these problems are excusable: after all, you are getting it for free, so you don't get to whine about the quality. 2) Charge hard earned money for your product and make it worth the purchase. You don't get to have it both ways. If I am paying you money for something, I should not have to put up with poor quality,... Read more
